The Story
The former Fitzgerald Apple Orchard was purchased by the Despres (Bigelow) Family in 1999, what started as an early morning coffee & breakfast stop in the original storefront ran by family members and close friends slowly grew to hosting private events in what is now called the parlor room, to adding the Library Bar & Restaurant in 2009, & The Ballroom in 2012.
Over the past 16 years the old Fitzgerald Apple Barn has been renovated and includes The Parlor room with a large Stone Fireplace, a Full Bar, & Adjacent Screened In Porch, while still maintaining the rustic feel, this room can host private events up to 97 guests (additional seating available weather pending on the adjacent porch); The Library Bar & Restaurant (the renovated Apple Storage Area) was added in 2008 and features rich mahogany walls, high tin like ceilings, custom built wood bar, & adjoining conservatory with a wall of windows overlooking the rolling hills with seating for up to 80 guests; The stately and elegant ballroom was added in 2012 and can host weddings and private events up to 200 guests, with Mahogany accents and custom hand painted ivory walls, and a breathtaking chandelier over the dance floor, it is where classic elegance meets the country.
